NutriNews.com is the internet’s #1 site for information on Nutrition, Diet and Nutritional Healing, with 1000’s of articles, books, recipes and forums, plus the NutriHealth Coach which provides personalized guidance on weight management and optimal health. Built using Cold Fusion and Spectra application develoment technologies, NutriNews.com includes a complete content management that stores all content in a database and serves articles, books, recipes, etc. to individual pages in a dynamic and personalized way for each user.  Scott’s responsibilities included:

  • Requirements analysis and technology selection
  • Site  and user interface design
  • Development management, including extensive hands on coding
  • Design and development of support systems for email marketing campaigns, including contest promotions.

Scott’s design and selection of technologies allowed the site to be built in eight weeks by three developers for about 30% the normal cost for a site of this scale and complexity.

FreeLife is a nutritional network marketing company that is listed in Inc. magazine’s top 500 U.S. companies.  Scott consulted on the design and architecture of their www.freelife.com web site, then produced 90% of the functional code for the site.  The site sells Freelife’s hundreds of products and supports Freelife’s network of over 15,000 independent marketing representatives, who can sign up online and automatically receive their owner personalized version of the site to promote their own businesses.

Served as architect and software development manager for ClearAccessÔ and ClearManagerÔ, a suite of query and reporting tools for the client server database access market.  Worked extensively with SQL database products, consulted with Fortune 500 clients and spoke at industry conferences.  Authored database access protocol specification under contract with Apple Computer for their original Sytem 7 release.
