A dbcObjects™ Container is your entry portal into the leading edge of internet technology! Developed by dbCentric Technologies, dbcObjects™ is a user friendly database centric technology for packaging virtually any content that can be presented in a standard web browser. To publish dynamic content on your website, you simply insert the appropriate dbcObjects™ Content Object into a Container that is located on the page, at the place you want the content to appear.
On every page of your site there will be three to five Containers. The Containers are located on the page depending upon the layout of your pages. For example, the leadingedgeinternet.com website has a 3 column layout with fixed header and footer, so three Containers are used -- one each placed in the left column, center column, and right column.
A Container can hold any number of dbcObjects™! The Container handler will follow the publishing rules you establish when you placed the Content Object into the Container. For example, on the home page of leadingedgeinternet.com in the center column are several Article objects that are displayed with the teasers handler. This handler displays the title, teaser and a link to the full article. When you click on the link, the full text of the article is displayed using another handler that displays full content. All the handlers and display rules and options for the dbcObjects™ on your site are created for you by dbcTec programmers to your specifications.
